The Town has prepared a roadway improvements design for Berwick Avenue and Farmdale Street within the Florence Avenue extents, which will include the removal and replacement of all existing asphalt and the addition of two new cross pans. We would like to apologize for the late notice of this project. The Firestone Town Board of Trustees has just approved this project as a change order to the existing contract for the project occurring along Wooster Avenue.
Work will take place Monday through Friday between the hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on weekends between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. The exact timing of the roadway improvements and paving are unknown at this time, however the entire project should be completed no later than the end of October. The two new cross pans have already been installed.
Residents immediately adjacent to the active work areas will have limited vehicular access while the work is taking place, in order to allow the work to progress more quickly and help ensure your safety. You will be notified by the contractor ahead of time to plan accordingly. Throughout the duration of the project, access to your home by emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times. If you have any medical or mobility issues that make restricted access to your home a concern, please contact us and we will make special arrangements. Similarly, if you have an event planned at your home, please let us know and we will make every effort to accommodate your access.
