Some entrepreneurs choose to buy a license for a proven business concept rather than develop a product, concept, or service and build it into a business. For example, a franchise business may provide goods or services and operate out of a store, office, home, or truck. 

Franchise licenses give the business owner a jumpstart by providing the know-how, procedures, intellectual property, use of business model, brand, and rights to sell branded products and services.
