Pledge of Allegiance led by Boy Scout Troop No. 67

At the start of the Wednesday night meeting, Boy Scout Troop No. 67 led the Pledge of Allegiance with the Board of Trustees and those in attendance.

Contract Approved with Citizenserve

During Wednesday night's meeting, the Board of Trustees approved an agreement with Online Solutions LLC (Citizenserve) to provide the Town with a professional, comprehensive permit issuance and building inspection management program and records retention system. Citizenserve will also provide a customized public portal for residents, business owners, and contractors to apply and pay for certain permits and licenses online. Implementation of this new tool will begin later this year.

Pump Track & Bike Park at Mountain Shadows Park

The Board of Trustees approved a contract for the design and construction of a pump track and bike park in the Mountain Shadows subdivision, just south of the Mountain Shadows Park.

The Mountain Shadows pump track and bike park will allow cyclists of all ages to develop skills for off-road biking. The layout will utilize a mixture of asphalt and dirt pathways, intersections, and turns to allow riders to develop various ways of traversing the track. The park's paths and obstacles will provide playgrounds and training facilities for bikers, skateboarders, or scooter riders at any skill level.

Town staff shared that the goal is to have the park complete by this winter. When the design has been finalized, and a clear timeline has been determined, the Town will share more information with the public.

Water Shares Purchased

The Board of Trustees approved an agreement to purchase 80 shares of water from the New Coal Ridge Ditch Company. In October of 2021, Town Staff presented the potential purchase of raw water to the Board of Trustees and received direction from the Board to negotiate raw water purchase agreements.  Once the acquisition is complete, this water will be treated at the St. Vrain Water Treatment Facility. The New Coal Ridge Ditch Company is one of five ditches the Town has identified as desirable water rights to add to the Town of Firestone water portfolio as laid out in the Water Action Plan that was adopted in 2020.
