Upcoming Daytime Road Closures

 
The Firestone Public Works Department will begin a Dirt Road Maintenance Project next week.

• County Road 26 (Zinnia Ave) will be closed between County Road 15 and County Road 17 from Monday, October 10 – Friday, October 14.  The closures will be daytime only, from 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.  View a detour map here.
  
  
• County Road 18 (Grant Ave) will be closed between County Road 15 and County Road 17 from Monday, October 24 – Friday, October 28. The closures will be daytime only, from 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. View a detour map here.

 
On both dirt roads, new materials to be placed to extend the road’s life and durability, in addition Magnesium Chloride will be applied to create a more stable roadway and reduce dust.

During the closures, detour routes will be posted. Please abide by all posted traffic control signs. While the roadways are open in the evening and overnight, motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists are urged to use caution and pay close attention while traveling through these work areas.
