Now Accepting Applications for the Vacant Board of Trustees Position

The Town of Firestone Board of Trustees is now accepting applications from Firestone residents who are willing to fill a vacant Trustee position. This position will fill the vacancy created by the election of Mayor Conyac and will be a two-year term expiring in April of 2026.  

The Town of Firestone operates as a council-manager form of government. This system of local government combines the strong political leadership of elected officials in the form of a council (Board of Trustees) with the managerial experience of an appointed local government manager.  The Town of Firestone Board of Trustees consists of an elected Mayor, who serves a two-year term, and six Trustees, who serve four-year terms.

As an elected body, the Mayor and Board of Trustees are the policymakers for the Town, providing overall Town policy and direction.

The Board of Trustees conducts regular meetings on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month. Work Sessions are scheduled on the third Wednesday of each month or as needed.

Those interested in applying must submit an online application by Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. The Board of Trustees will hold a Special Meeting on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. in the Board Room for interviews of the applicants, with the intention of making an appointment during the Wednesday, June 12, 2024, Board of Trustees meeting.
