East I-25 Frontage Road Temporary Closure

South of Firestone Blvd. 

On Monday, June 10, the Colorado Department of Transportation will close access to the East I-25 Frontage Road from Highway 119/Firestone Blvd to make improvements. These include expanding the south side of the intersection, adding raised islands, and replacing the traffic signal poles and mast arms.  Aside from any unforeseen issues and weather permitting, this closure is expected to last until July 3. 

Access to the in-line businesses in the Firestone City Centre development will only be available from the Frontage Road when traveling north; otherwise, access will be available via Firestone Boulevard and Jake Jabs Boulevard.

Detours Routes

• The detour route for northbound traffic on the Frontage Road will be east on Sable Avenue to Birch Street, head north on Birch Street to Firestone Boulevard. At Firestone Boulevard, turn west to return to the Frontage Road.
• The detour route for southbound traffic on the Frontage Road will be east on Firestone Boulevard to Birch Street, then head south to Sable Avenue. At Sable Avenue, head west to return to the Frontage Road.
• Signs will be in place along the detour routes to help direct travelers. 

Motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists are urged to pay close attention to detour and traffic control signs and, if possible, to avoid this area altogether.
