Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are needed for our 2nd Annual Friends of Firestone Day of Service. This event will bring volunteers and neighbors together to assist homeowners with minor exterior home repairs, painting, and general yard clean-up. Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Volunteers Needed!

To make this event a success, we need 100 volunteers to complete the projects planned for this year. Sign up as a team, or we’ll add you to a group that needs extra hands. Day of Service projects are active work sites, and we require direct parental/guardian supervision for volunteers younger than 14. Volunteer registration will close on Friday, August 30.

Residential Projects

Last year, the Friends of Firestone Day of Service worked at six homes with the help of more than 120 volunteers. Once again, this fall, the Town of Firestone is offering free assistance to eligible homeowners who need exterior painting, minor home repairs, or general yard clean-up.

To qualify, homeowners must be 60 years or older and/or have a disability or be income-qualified.  Applicants must own and occupy a home in the Town of Firestone and plan to live there for at least 12 months. Find out more about qualifications here.
