Central Park Update
Following the last two Board of Trustees Work Sessions on July 17 and August 21, 2024, the Firestone Board of Trustees expressed united support and showed optimism about moving forward with the proposed plan for Central Park.
What's Next?
The next phase for Central Park will take several months of due diligence to determine the next level of detail and actionability. It will involve working with interested parties to propose potential uses, evaluate financial viability, and finalize feasibility. Simultaneously, while that work is ongoing, the Town of Firestone will work to develop the Central Park Planned Unit Development (PUD), which will include creating zoning and land use classifications as well as land development and design guidelines. Many of these steps will require action by the Board of Trustees during regular meetings.
Opportunities for public input will continue throughout this process, and we will send periodic updates to keep you informed. We look forward to continuing the positive momentum we have achieved by working closely with the deeply engaged residents of Firestone.
