Volunteer Positions Open on the Parks, Trails, Recreation, and Open Space Commission

The Board of Trustees is seeking two volunteers to serve on the Parks, Trails, Recreation, and Open Space Commission (PTROC).  The Commission was established to assist the Board of Trustees in evaluating current needs and issues regarding its parks, trails, open space, and recreation facilities.

This position is perfect for someone who is passionate about outdoor and recreation spaces and wants to get involved in their community.

The Commission consists of seven Town residents appointed by the Board of Trustees to serve for two-year terms, plus two members of the Board of Trustees serving as a liaison and alternate liaison.

PTROC typically meets once per month, on the first Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. in the Board Room/Court Room at the Firestone Police and Municipal Court Facility, 9900 Park Avenue, Firestone, CO 80504.

All volunteers must be residents of the Town, and anyone who wishes to serve on final decision-making boards cannot have a financial interest in a contract with the Town.

APPLY TODAY!

Those interested in volunteering must complete an application online here. Applications are due by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 14, 2025. The Board of Trustees will review candidate applications and nominate appointments at a regularly scheduled Board meeting.
