Drug Take Back Day

The Firestone Police Department is proud to participate in the DEA’s Annual Drug Take Back Day.

On Saturday, April 26th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., community members are encouraged to visit the Firestone Police Department (9900 Park Ave, Firestone) to safely and anonymously dispose of unwanted, unneeded, and expired household medications—including both prescription and over-the-counter drugs.

Too often, unused medications end up in the wrong hands, leading to dangerous and sometimes tragic consequences. This event offers a valuable opportunity to clean out your medicine cabinets and dispose of medications responsibly.

Items that can not be accepted include:

• Needles & Sharps
• Mercury (thermometers)
• Oxygen containers
• Chemotherapy/Radioactive substances
• Pressurized canisters
• Illicit drugs
