County Road 18 Temporary Road Closure

Between CR 15 & CR 17

Beginning Tuesday, August 26, 2025, County Road 18 will be closed for road and utility work as part of the Thornton Water Project. The road will be closed from CR 17 to CR 15.  Access to County Road 18 will be from County Road 19  and County Road 15. This closure is required to allow the contractor working for the City of Thornton to safely and expeditiously install the underground utilities. Barring any unforeseen issues and weather permitting, this closure is anticipated to last until August 29, 2025.

Local traffic and residents along the closure will be allowed access on County Road 18 from County Road 19 and County Road 15.

Signs will be along the detour route to help direct travelers. Motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists are urged to pay close attention to detour and traffic control signs and, if possible, avoid the construction zone.
