Activity Notice from Crestone Peak Resources

Crestone Peak Resources has notified the Town of Firestone that they anticipate beginning drilling operations at the Kugle well site soon.  This site is located south of Sable Avenue and west of Frontier Street.  

According to Crestone, during this phase of activity, the rig will drill the surface portion of all 14 horizontal wells. This operation will take about a month to complete. Once this portion of each well is drilled, the surface rig will move off and the larger production rig will move in to drill all of the wells to their total depth. That phase is expected to start in June.

Crestone has installed sound walls around the perimeter of the site to mitigate noise and light coming from the location. In addition, they will monitor mud and dust and mitigate it as needed and maintain the approved access route for this location.  View the complete notice, mailed to nearby residents, here.
