The Firestone Engineering & Utilities Department uses chemical stabilization measures on unpaved roadways. This material has decreased the frequency of needed maintenance and improved the conditions of driving surfaces. Treated roadways will continue to be inspected for maintenance issues biweekly and graded as needed. Unimproved roadways will continue to receive biweekly maintenance until chemical stabilization has been performed.
