VIA PARATRANSIT IS AVAILABLE FOR FIRESTONE RESIDENTS!
The Town of Firestone partners with Via Mobility Services to provide eligible residents with local transportation services.
Via's services provide a lifeline and, for many, a bridge to the community. This service is funded by the Town of Firestone.
Services available Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m |
DO I QUALIFY?
- You must live within the Town of Firestone; and
- You must be 60 years old or older; or
- An adult with a disability, permanent or temporary; or
- Youth 17 years or younger with a disability, permanent or temporary; or
- Youth ages 12–17 must be placed into the vehicle by an adult.
- Youth under 11 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
- Children age 5 or younger must use the proper Child Safety Restraint System (CSRS) and be secured by the accompanying adult.
- Reside within a household that has an income of below 80% of the Area Median Income for Weld County based on the number of members in the household.
WHERE CAN I GO?
- Via can take you almost anywhere, including to medical appointments, therapy, grocery stores, social events, senior centers, adult day programs, employment, and more.
- Via can also pick up and deliver pre-paid grocery orders within the Town of Firestone.
- Service is available within the Town of Firestone and between Firestone and Frederick, Dacono, Brighton, Fort Lupton, Mead, Johnstown, Boulder, Longmont, Louisville, or Lafayette. Service between communities may be limited to certain days.

Bustang: Connecting Colorado by Bus
The Colorado Department of Transportation’s Bustang service links local transit systems across the state, providing a reliable alternative along Colorado’s busiest travel corridors. In the past two years, Bustang has doubled service on the North and South Lines and tripled service on the West Line, responding to a growing community demand for public transportation services.
Firestone-Longmont Mobility Hub:
The closest stop for Firestone residents is located at Firestone Boulevard and I-25, at Exit 240, called the "Firestone-Longmont Mobility Hub." This stop is on the "North Line" and can connect community members to Fort Collins and Denver. The Mobility Hub includes the following features:
- A northbound pedestrian pick-up and drop-off platform along the I-25 off-ramp
- A new pedestrian pick-up and drop-off platform on southbound Frontage Road just before the entrance of the southbound on-ramp
- A sidewalk and pedestrian underpass to connect users from the park-n-ride on the east side of I-25 to the station platforms on the west side of I-25
- Parking lot with 269 parking spaces
- Large sidewalks and bicycle storage racks allow for multiple modes to utilize the hub and enhance multimodal connectivity
- A public information board with real-time Bustang departure and arrival schedules.

- Outrider Routes (Craig, Telluride, Durango, Crested Butte, Alamosa, Lamar, Sterling)
- Pegasus Shuttle (Denver to Avon)

- Summer: Denver–Estes Park / Rocky Mountain National Park
- School Year: CSU–Denver (RamsRoute)
- Winter: Snowstang to major ski resorts (Arapahoe Basin, Breckenridge, Copper, Loveland)
- Game Days: Bustang to Broncos (home games)

Free Rides for Older Adults in Weld County
60+ Ride provides FREE transportation for Weld County residents age 60 and older.
Becoming a client is easy — and completely free. Once registered, all rides are free, too!
Their dedicated team of staff and volunteer drivers is fueled by passion and committed to helping older adults stay independent, connected, and engaged in their communities. Rides are available 7 days a week, including evenings, based on volunteer availability. Most rides must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance. Non-medical rides may be available on shorter notice.
